Mission

Counseling is an integral part of Bishop McNamara High School’s educational program. The purpose of the Guidance and Counseling Department is to help students make successful and self-fulfilling adjustments to school life. Personal, college and career counseling assists students in their educational and career plans after high school as well as helping students to develop their spiritual and personal growth. The Guidance and Counseling Department encourages students to be successful in all areas of study and good citizenship.

The Guidance and Counseling Department in agreement with the philosophy of the school assist the administration with providing the best academic curriculum for students. The Teachings of the Catholic Church and the rich tradition of the Holy Cross Brothers are essential to providing spiritual and moral guidance to our students. Because of our emphasis on global issues and use of advanced technology in our institution, a graduate of Bishop McNamara High School will be able to meet the challenges of society.
