McDonald's All American Basketball Nominees

Congratulations to the following young man and women on being nominated for the 31st annual Boys and 7th annual Girls McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Team.

This announcement recognizes each student as one of the top basketball players nationwide.  Thousands and thousands of students play basketball each year, but not all achieve this recognition.  Only 2,500 high school basketball players in the nation are nominated to the McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Team.   

This year marks the 31st anniversary of the Boys game and the 7th year of the Girls game.  Many of today’s most recognized professional and collegiate basketball players played in the McDonald’s All America Game as high school seniors including Michael Jordan, Lebron James and Kevin Garnett.  So it is truly an honor to be nominated. 

From the field of nominees, 24 male and 24 female athletes will be chosen to compete in the McDonald’s All American Games on March 26, 2008.  As a nominee who has displayed hard work, skill and teamwork each of these student athletes will automatically be considered for selection to this prestigious team.
