Bishop McNamara High School’s forty-year history as a Catholic institution in the metropolitan Washington community has touched countless lives. Registration Check List
In order to enter the freshman class the following year, the application should be submitted in January of the eighth grade. For proper consideration, the student and his/her family must ensure that the following are completed and submitted by the deadlines:
- The application, which can be obtained from the Admissions Office or downloaded from our forms page.
- The Records Release Form, so we may receive transcript and grades.
- The HSPT (The Washington Archdicesan Admissions Test)
- Evaluations/recommendations

Founded in 1963, originally as an all male high school. Became co-ed in 1992.
Student Body
Approximately 800 students, largest co-educational Catholic School in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
College Acceptance
Historically 98-100% acceptance rate at colleges and universities nationwide
Scholarship & Grants Awarded From 1995-2007 BMHS graduates recieved over $75 million in scholarships and financial aid from colleges and universities. |

Admissions Policy
Bishop McNamara High School is a co-educational institution which admits students of any race, religion, color, nationality, or ethnic orgin. Acceptance to the school is based on achievement, standarized test scores, evaluations, and prior school recommendations. |
